# How to Activate Windows 10 / 11 OEM License Key

Thank you for purchasing your Windows OEM License Key from SoftKeyShop.

This guide explains how to activate Windows 10 or Windows 11 using your product key.

Before You Begin

Please make sure:

- You have a genuine installation of Windows 10 or Windows 11.
- The Windows edition matches the product key you purchased (Home, Pro, etc.).
- Your computer is connected to the internet.

Step 1: Open Activation Settings

Windows 11

1. Open "Settings".
2. Go to "System" → "Activation".

Windows 10

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to "Update & Security" → "Activation".

Step 2: Change Product Key

Click "Change Product Key".

Enter the 25-character product key exactly as provided.

Example:

XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

Click ''Next", then select "Activate".
Step 3: Wait for Activation

Windows will contact Microsoft's activation servers.

If successful, you will see:

Windows is activated

Your license is now permanently activated for this computer.

The key doesn't work

Make sure you purchased the correct edition.

Examples:

- Windows 11 Pro key → Windows 11 Pro
- Windows 10 Home key → Windows 10 Home

A Pro key cannot activate Home edition.

OEM licenses are intended for activation on one computer only.

If you replaced your motherboard or attempted activation on another PC, the key may no longer activate.
